Postal Co-Chair
Terry Freeman, Seattle Postmaster

 

 

Terry Freeman became the new Seattle Postmaster, June 6, 2009. He began his postal career in 1977 as a letter carrier in Kansas City, MO. Terry was also Postmaster of Boulder, CO; Manager of Post Office Operations in the Northland District; and various Customer Service positions in Kansas City, MO. Most recently, he was the Postmaster of Kansas City, MO, and has been the Officer-in-Charge of Seattle since Jan 2009.

Scott Simmons,

 

Scott Simmons, graduated from Oregon State University with a B.S Degree in Hotel and & Restaurant Management. He moved to Seattle after graduation to take a management position with a local hotel. After a brief career in the hospitality industry he shifted to the mailing industry with an opportunity to oversee the automated production for the first presort mailing bureau in the region. Scott has worked extensively in the mailing/printing industry in Seattle.  He has been active in the local PCCs for more than 16 years, serving in several offices in the PCC both as a customer and a vendor to work with the USPS.

Vice Co-Chair
Carl Hawkins, Tacoma Public Utilities

 

Carl Hawkins - EMCM, MQC, is currently manager of Mail Services for both the City of Tacoma and Tacoma Public Utilities. He grew up in Cincinnati area, graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.S Degree in Food Technology. He also has a M.A. from Webster University in Management. He served 20 years as a Quartermaster Officer in the U.S Army with tours in North Carolina, Washington, Virginia, Germany, Korea, and Saudi Arabia retiring from the Army in 1992 with a rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He has been with the City of Tacoma since 1994. He has been active in the local PCCs for more than 10 years.

Secretary
Cheri Forsell, PB PSI Presort Services

 

Cheri Forsell has been in the mailing industry for 4 years. Cheri is the Customer Service Manager for PB Presort Services in Kent which serves the Puget Sound and Portland Region. She received her Mail Quality Control Specialist certification in March of 2006. Her favorite part of working in the mail industry is the support and knowledge she gains from her fellow peers. Cheri is looking forward to serving on the PSPCC. On a personal note, in her spare time (she has 2 teenagersJ), she likes to garden, read, and play Sudoku.

Treasurer
Kim Rancans, Rotary Offset Press

 

Kim Rancans is the Information Services Manager for Rotary Offset Press, a commercial printing and mailing company in Kent.  Kim has been in the mailing industry for 34 years, the first twenty in circulation and fulfillment with the weekly periodical Fishing and Hunting News.   She has been active with the Puget Sound PCC since its inception 3 years ago.  Kim finds it very beneficial to belong to an organization that gives her resources and education in the ever changing mail industry.
